How to add accounts
1
Click New Search on the Accounts page
From the Accounts page, click New Search in the top nav.
2
Name your list
Give the list a name — something that describes what these accounts are. For example: Jack’s Territory, Closed Lost Q1, Enterprise Targets.
3
Paste your domains
Paste in company domains in any format — line by line, comma separated, straight from a CSV. WhiteWhale cleans them up automatically.
4
Assign an owner
Select who these accounts should be assigned to. You can assign them to yourself or to anyone else on the team — useful if you’re uploading lists for other reps.
5
Add tags (optional)
Tag the batch to keep things organized. Examples: Enterprise, Working, Closed Lost, Reached Out. Tags make it easy to filter and build segments later.
6
Click Upload
WhiteWhale starts scanning immediately. Accounts that already exist in the system will appear right away. The rest will populate as they finish scraping — signals, details, and the Why Now will show up as they’re ready.
If you have a big list, find the best accounts
If you have more accounts than credits — say 5,000 domains but only 300 credits — WhiteWhale won’t let you upload the full list directly. You need to tell it how many to add.1
Click New Search on the Accounts page
From the Accounts page, click New Search in the top nav.
2
Name your list
Give the list a name — something that describes what these accounts are. For example: Jack’s Territory, Closed Lost Q1, Enterprise Targets.
3
Paste your full list of domains
Add all the domains you have — even thousands.
4
Open Advanced Settings
Click Advanced Settings below the domain input box.
5
Set how many accounts to add
Enter the number of accounts that fits your credit limit. WhiteWhale will scan the full list and activate the best-scoring accounts based on your signals. The rest will appear as suggestions so you can review them later or activate them when you have more credits.
6
Optional: Turn on Clean the List for more control
If you want to filter the list further before WhiteWhale picks the best ones, toggle on Clean the List. This lets you add signal requirements (accounts must have at least one of your selected signals) and firmographic filters (employee count, geography, industry) so only accounts that pass your criteria are even considered.
7
Upload
WhiteWhale scans the full list, applies your filters if set, and activates the top accounts up to your limit.
A third way: Account Suggestions
WhiteWhale can also recommend net-new accounts you haven’t thought of yet based on your signals and ICP. See How Account Suggestions Work to set that up.Related
